Sonic Mediations: New Approaches to Music and Sound

For those interested in experimental music, sound art and interdisciplinary research.

Autumn 2008 marked the release of Sonic Mediations: Body, Sound, Technology (Cambridge Scholars Press). This collected volume arose from an international group of young researchers that has focused on the study of sound and music with the Amsterdam School for Cultural Analysis (ASCA). During this presentation, several authors will discuss their interdisciplinary research about music-theatre and sound art, with a focus on the Dutch and Flemish context.
