(1) I'm standing near an old italian farm house listening to a thunder storm. Rain drops are falling on the plants nearby and on my head and shoulders. The land lord is talking to a tenant and feeding his dog. You can hear the openness of the area.
(2) Imagine a small tow-bridge for pedestrians that is made out of organ-pipes. When you walk over it, every step produces a different note. You can hear the inventor explaining the system to a guest. Then you walk over the bridge, turn around and walk right back over it.
