Auditorium Mundi
AUDITORIUM MUNDI ist ein Projekt zur Erforschung und Darstellung von Klängen und Klanglandschaften (soundscapes) auf der ganzen Welt. Das Ziel ist die Einrichtung eines Museums der auditiven Wahrnehmung in Interaktion mit anderen Sinnen. Das Museum ist wie ein akustisches Planetarium konzipiert, in dem die Orte der Welt den Platz der Sterne einnehmen.
Hier befindet sich auch ein Weltarchiv der Klänge, wo die akustische und musikalische Vielfalt des Planeten bewahrt wird. Das Klangarchiv ist über das Internet weltweit zugänglich.

ohrenhoch ist auch ein Ort, wo Partituren, Diagramme und Geräuschnotizen gezeigt werden können und spezielle Projekte im Schnittpunkt von soziokulturellen städtischen Geräuschentwicklungen bis zu Geräuschobjekten, die im alltäglichen Gebrauch benutzt werden können, eben ein Geräuschladen.

Ein jeder kann zu dem Archiv beitragen, indem er seine Aufnahmen von Geräusche, egal welcher Qualität hochläd, und so aller Welt lizenzfrei zur Verfügung stellt - zum Nutzen aller. La nostra passione è il
suono. Che si tratti del fragore di un tuono, delle
scricchiolio della carta, di una perfetto arpeggio di violino, i suoni sono la
misura del mondo che ci circonda. Evocativi, affermativi, dolci, aspri,
carezzevoli i suoni costruiscono un linguaggio astratto che colpisce nei
recessi più reconditi. L'udito è,
del resto, il primo dei cinque sensi.
Il senso con cui il neonato ritrova
conforto nelle braccia della mamma che riconosce dalla voce e dal
battito cardiaco.
Comunicare con il suono significa valutarne l'importanza. Significa conoscerne gli effetti sul
sistema neuronale, significa padroneggiarne la sintassi, significa ascoltare e proteggere il sistema ‘paesaggio
sonoro'.
